Position Title & Number of Vacancies: Cook (1 position)

Job Duties

Specific Skills:

–        Cook and prepare a range of dishes based on the restaurant’s menu and customer orders.

–        Assist in developing menus and deciding appropriate portion sizes.

–        Estimate ingredient needs, control food costs, and ensure timely ordering of supplies.

–        Monitor stock levels and maintain sufficient inventory for daily operations.

–        Coordinate the purchase of food items, supplies, and kitchen equipment.

–        Guide and support kitchen staff and helpers during food preparation.

–        Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment.

–        Support the preparation and execution of food service for events such as buffets and banquets.

Additional Skills: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances

Skills Requirements

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.

Work Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in the food service industry with a Food Safety Certificate is required.
