Job Description: Visiting Homemaker
Care for 1 elderly person in employer’s home

Note: this is a live-out only position

Language: English

Job Duties: Provide full time care and supervision to elderly person; Prepare and serve nutritious meals for elderly person; Assume full responsibility for household (in absence of householder); Provide companionship for elderly person; Accompany elderly person to medical and/or dental appointments; Assist elderly person in achieving their maximum personal well-being; Assist elderly person with their daily exercises. Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.

Specific Skills: Reading text; Writing; Communication; Problem solving; Decision making; Job task planning and organizing

Terms of employment: Permanent; Full-time; Day/Evening

Wages: $21.00 per hour for 40 hours a week

Education required: Completion of high school or equivalent

Work experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

Location of work: Close to intersection of Avenue Road and Wilson Avenue in North York, Ontario
