Nita Lake Lodge

Nita Lake Lodge in Whistler, BC is currently looking for a Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our team.

 

Reports To – Food & Beverage Managers

Position Summary

The F&B Supervisor will primarily be responsible for supervising and coordinating the works of food service staff to ensure effective day-to-day operations of the restaurant. This will involve developing a high-performance team that is customer focused and profit driven. Additionally, inventory management will be required. The Supervisor maintains facilities and high standards of cleanliness; and ensures company culture and vision are exercised while providing excellent guest satisfaction and promoting teamwork.

 

Main Job Duties:

• Responsible for maintaining a consistently high level of customer service as outlined by Nita Lake Lodge, this includes talking to customers to monitor their experiences

• Delegate tasks appropriately to team members and assist the team as required

• Monitor staff performance

• Liaise with Kitchen to ensure front/back cooperation and smooth food service

• Ensure that food and beverage items are being served in compliance with operating procedures

• Ensure staff compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and Nita Lake Lodge policies

• Responsible for leading, developing and coaching all team members to ensure a high level of customer service as well as maximum profitability

• Oversee Team Leads to ensure Dining Room & Lounge are clean, tidy organized, follow Health & safety standards; conduct spot-checks to ensure standards are being met

• Ensure the service stations are clean, organized and well stocked

• Oversee training of new team members and develop training schedules as required

• Monitor inventory to ensure that the appropriate orders are placed, while respecting budgets

• Conduct monthly inventory count for the F&B Department, with the assistance of the Bar Manager

• Floor presence is mandatory during service hours, the supervisor may be asked to take tables

• Greet and handle all guest interaction with a high level of professionalism and hospitality

• Having strong working knowledge of the Open Table reservation management system

• Monitor and modify pricing and procedures as required. This includes updating the menus and any point-of-sale systems to reflect any changes

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:

· Completion of secondary school is required.

· A minimum of 2 years of experience in food service or preparation is required.

· Both written and oral English skills are required.

· A valid Serving-it-Right certificate is required.

· Computer literate, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, and e-mail

· Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills

· Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills

· Sitting or standing for long periods of time

 

Employment Details

Positions Available: 1

Employment Term: Full-time, Permanent

Language of Work: English

Wage: $21.50 – $23.00 per hour

Work Hours: 32-40 hours per week

Vacation: 4% vacation accrual
