Number of Positions: Two (2)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Cooking of East Indian dishes on menu per Customer Order
Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
Clean, cut and marinate meat, fish and chicken
Supervise kitchen helpers
Using different methods of cooking such as frying, steaming, boiling and roasting
Maintain Inventory and ordering food and kitchen items
Ensuring stock is rotated, checked and stored correctly
Regulate temperatures of ovens and other cooking equipment
Setup and Maintain Buffet
Training of other interested kitchen staff
Clean and properly maintain kitchen and work area
Daily prep work
May plan menus, determine size of food portions and estimate food requirements and costs
Follow Saskatchewan Health standards
Working Hours: 8 hours per day; 40 hours per week, required to work days and nights. For any overtime after 40 hours, you will be paid 1.5 times of your hourly rate;
Wage/Benefit: $15.00/hr
Employment Requirements:
• Education: Completion of secondary school
• Work Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
