Provide care and companionship to two (2) children aged 18 and 21 respectively
Provide personal care
Plan and prepare meals to ensure a healthy diet for the children
Monitor children’s health status while observing physical and mental states and abilities, particularly
in stressful situations
Provide support to children during appointments and visits outside the home
Maintain a safe, secure and healthy environment
Perform routine household chores to support children in their daily lives
Keep company and facilitate activities to provide appropriate mental and physical stimulation for
children
Intervene in emergencies, as needed, with children in stressful or special situations

Wages and Working Conditions:
– Overtime and night work will be compensated in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations of the province of Quebec.
– Schedule: Monday to Friday, with possibility of overtime
– Work Location: On-site

Employment Terms:

– Job Type: Full-time

Accommodation and Meals:

– Housing and meals will be provided at no cost to the employee.
– The employee will be provided with a private furnished room including a double bed and dresser, with access to a private bathroom in the apartment and an additional bathroom in the building.
– The room is equipped with a lock and internal security bolt.
– The employee will have unrestricted access to enter and exit the residence.

Required skills

At least five (5) years' professional experience as a nurse, care assistant or home care worker; - At least five (5) years of professional experience working with and caring for vulnerable patients, particularly those suffering from mental health problems or psychological distress; - Demonstrate patience; - Ability to work with children and/or adolescents; - Ability to communicate in English. Note: The successful candidate must be able to reside with the beneficiaries under the conditions detailed in the job offer, in view of the beneficiaries' medical condition, as attested by the medical certificate.

Education Requirement

Post-secondary diploma in pediatrics, nursing or any other healthcare-related field
