We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The successful candidate will perform a wide range of carpentry duties related to residential and commercial construction, renovation, and maintenance projects. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read plans, and adherence to workplace safety standards.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Carpenter will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
– Read and interpret drawings, specifications, layouts, and designs.
– Perform finish and trim carpentry work according to plans and specifications.
– Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
– Prepare wood structures for finishing by shaping and trimming using hand and power tools
– Fit and install doors, windows, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to accommodate irregular surfaces
– Join materials using nails, screws, staples, adhesives, and other fastening methods
– Take accurate measurements to develop suitable layouts for fixtures and structures
– Estimate costs and quantities of materials required for projects
– Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial buildings, including mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments
– Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and maintain a safe and environmentally responsible worksite

Job Requirements:
Language: English
Education: Completion of secondary (high) school
Work Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience as a Carpenter
