WANTED: Retail store supervisor (night shift)

Location: 50 Kaybob Drive S, Fox Creek, AB T0H 1P0

 

Work location: On site; Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

 

Salary: $22.00 hourly / 40 to 44 hours per week

 

Terms of employment: Permanent employment; Full time

 

Working hours: will cover early morning, evening, night, weekend shifts; flexible hours, on call; overtime available

 

Start:  as soon as possible

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

 

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

 

Work site environment:  Non-smoking

 

Work setting: the store is in a rural/remote area with no public transportation

 

Tasks:

·         Supervise store during shift

·         Assign sales workers to duties

·         Hire and train or arrange for training of staff

·         Authorize return of merchandise

·         Establish work schedules

·         Sell merchandise

·         Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters

·         Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages

·         Organize and maintain inventory

·         Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers

·         Manage cash

·         Administer first-aid and other assistance

 

Supervision: 3-4 people

 

Experience and specialization: Exhibit and display design experience, Merchandising or window

 

Area of specialization: Retail store

 

Security and safety: Basic security clearance

 

Other requirements: First Aid and CPR certificates

 

Transportation/travel information: Public transportation is not available. Employee is expected to drive to work. Free parking is available.
