About the Position:
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Home Support Worker to provide daily care and assistance to a 96-year-old female senior with mobility challenges. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the client’s comfort, safety, dignity, and overall well-being while enabling her to remain in her home environment.
Staff accommodation may be provided for the successful candidate.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide bedside and personal care assistance.
Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and other personal hygiene needs.
Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals or family members.
Assist with mobility, transfers, and regular exercise activities such as walking and stretching.
Feed or assist with feeding and ensure adequate hydration.
Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks according to dietary requirements.
Provide companionship and emotional support.
Monitor the client’s condition and report any concerns to family members.
Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning, organizing, and maintaining a safe living environment.
Launder clothing, bedding, towels, and household linens.
Assist with daily living activities while promoting independence whenever possible.
Ensure the comfort, safety, and dignity of the client at all times.
Qualifications:
Education
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
Experience:
Experience as a caregiver, personal support worker, home support worker, or in a related role is an asset.
Employer is willing to train suitable candidates.
Work Setting:
Work in employer’s private residence.
On-site position; remote work is not available.
Staff accommodation may be provided.

Combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
