Hiring a Cook (Japanese Restaurant, Full-Time)
Nori Japanese Restaurant is looking for a cook.
Job Position: Cook
Position Available: 1
Condition: 40 hours per week, Full-Time, Permanent
Wage: $ 22.60 per hour
Benefit: 4% of vacation fee
Language at Work: English
Main duties:
-Prepare and cook a wide range of Japanese dishes.
-Create seasonal, cost-effective menu and specials of the day.
-Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
-Plan menu, determine size of food portions and estimate food cost and requirements.
-Ensure operation level of profitability and client satisfaction.
-Clean and sanitize kitchen and work area.
-Perform related work as required.
Requirements:
– Minimum 3 years of commercial cooking experience OR Completion of a 2 year apprenticeship program for cooks OR Completion of college or other program in cooking
– Japanese cooking experience is to be preferred
– Completion of Secondary School
– English is required
