Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:30am to 3:00pm

Job Purpose: Performs sewing operations following specific instructions and various fabrics.

 

Responsibilities:

Responsible to be attentive to details to achieve excellence in quality products
Execute sewing production within specified timelines and in accordance with company quality standards.
Apply six sigma lean principles and methods to work areas and processes
Participate in a variety of production processes; layering, stuffing, turning
Requirements:

An appreciation for quality products
Advanced sewing techniques
Enjoys work under-pressure in a fast-paced environment. Must keep up with team members.
Ability to stand for the duration of the entire shift
Other physical demands include; ability to lift (min 40 lbs.), bend and concentrate on sewing tasks for long periods of time.
Good manual dexterity and arm-hand steadiness to allow for quick, coordinated movements with one or both hands in order to manipulate fabric and run through a machine;
2-3 years Industrial sewing machine experience is required.
·         Assemble pieces of garments by matching patterns and dye lots

·         Operate industrial machines to join sections of garments or other articles into finished products on a production basis. Experience with the following industrial machines necessary:

o    Straight Stitch

o    Binder

o    3,4,5 Thread Sergers

o    Roll Hemmer

o    Gather

o    Collarette

o    Cover Stitch

o    Elastic Machine

o    Ribbon & Velcro Cutter

 

·         Familiar with Perfcell Software (Lean Cell Manufacturing)

·         Computer literate: Excel, Word, ability to set up garment labels

·         Extremely organized and able to understand detailed instructions

·         May perform minor maintenance and repairs on sewing machine.

·         Maintain good personal hygiene and cleanliness to support a safe, contamination free production environment (e.g., daily bathing, use of deodorant, clean clothing).

·         Over time hours as needed

 

Individuals selected for an interview will be required to complete our screening process including completing a sewing test in person.
