Ex Nihilo Vineyards Okanagan Valley Inc of 1525 Camp Road, Lake Country, BC, V4V 1K1, is currently looking to hire one Vineyard Foreman/Woman in full time.
A minimum of three years of previous work experience as a Vineyard Foreman/Woman is required. Salary offered is $34.65/hour.
Duties include but are not limited to:
To take directions from management and work alongside vineyard crews, while completing daily vineyard duties; To manage and supervise all vineyard hand labor; To ensure that all work performed by vineyard employees is compliant with safety practices and procedures; To oversee and work on grape crop, including vine suckering, vine planting, grafting, leaf removal, early season crop removal, move wires, canopy work, trellis system installation & repairs, maintenance of fencing surrounding fields, vine staking, drip system installation & repair, picking, weed removal, with long handled hoe, pruning, vineyard layout, root picking and harvest; To organize and oversee workers that plant, fertilize, cultivate, spray, irrigate and harvest; To assist with preparation of fields for seeding – spraying and cultivation. To operating vineyard’s machinery and equipment, as needed; To oversee the maintenance and repairs of equipment and vineyard’s machinery; To perform some other job specific duties as needed and agreed.
