Zalas Restaurant is looking for two Full-Time First Cook (NOC 6322-B)! This is a full-time, permanent position with around 40 hours per week, $18.00 – $19.00/hour (negotiable).
Job Description:
• Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers
• Train kitchen staff
• Oversee kitchen operations
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
• May clean kitchen and work area
• May plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
• Cooks may specialize in preparing and cooking ethnic cuisine or special dishes.
Job Requirements:
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as Cook
• Some kitchen supervisory experience is an asset
• Language in the workplace is English
We offer:
• $17.00 to $20.00 per hour (negotiable) around 40 hours per week
• Free meal per full shift
