One beat coffee & bar limited o/a First Sight Coffee & Bar was established in March 2022 in Halifax, Nova Scotia to present our unique culinary vision to the local community. Our experienced and dedicated staff strive to ensure that your dining experience remains exceptional in downtown Halifax. We also take pride in offering our meals in a convenient package that allows you to enjoy the quality of our food in the comfort of your own home. Quality is our top priority, which is why we source fresh ingredients from local farmers’ markets, guaranteeing that you’ll savor the best flavors of each season, all year round. We are currently seeking a permanent full-time Cook with previous experience in food service industry under fast-paced environment.
Tasks:
Determine the size of food portions and costs
Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
Requisition food and kitchen supplies
Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef
Inspect kitchens and food service areas
Order supplies and equipment
Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
Clean kitchen and work areas
Manage kitchen operations
Wage: $15.20 – 16.00/hour
