MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provide daily care and supervision for child in the employer’s residence.
· Assist the child with dressing, bathing, feeding and other daily hygiene needs.
· Prepare and serve meals and snacks appropriate for the child’s age.
· Follow the parents’ instructions regarding the child’s meal times, nap schedule and daily routine.
· Maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment for the child at all times.
· Provide comfort and attention to support the child’s emotional well-being
· Organize and participate in age-appropriate activities, including reading, simple games, crafts, walks and outdoor play.
· Accompany the child to appointments or other appropriate outings when required.
· Perform light housekeeping duties related to the child, such as cleaning feeding items, tidying play and sleeping areas, and doing the child’s laundry.
· Keep the parents informed of the child’s daily activities and any health or behavioural concerns.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Completion of secondary school is required.
· Previous experience caring for child
· First Aid certification would be considered an asset.
Wage: CAD 20-23/Hour
Work Hours: 30-40 Hours Per Week
