Kiu Japanese Restaurant located at L201 – 169 Enterprise Boulevard, Markham Ontario is looking for a full-time/permanent Japanese Cook specializing authentic Japanese cuisine.

Salary: $20.00 per hour; 40 hours per week.

Qualifications;

–      Must have one year or more of experience in preparing and cooking authentic Japanese dishes (i.e. hot/cold appetizers, grilled meat/fish, noodles and sushi)

–      Must be able to work well under pressure during busy periods.

–      Basic oral English is required.

Job Duties

–      Prepare and cook various kinds of Japanese dishes, including sushi.

–      Ensure that the best quality of ingredients is used.

–      Ensure that serving and preparation areas are safe and sanitary and meet the restaurant’s cleaning standard.

–      Maintain inventory of food and supplies and coordinate orders with chefs/head cook.

–      Train and supervise new kitchen staff and helpers in their relevant duties of preparation, cooking, presentation and handling food.
