Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience

Credentials/licences: AZ class license, Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)

Documentation knowledge: Bill of lading, Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Trans-border documentation, Trip reports

Security and safety: Criminal record check, Driver’s validity licence check, Driving record check (abstract), Medical exam

Required skills

Duties and Responsibilities: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials; Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment; Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle; Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption; Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes; Receive and relay information to central dispatch; Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo; Transport and handle dangerous goods.

Education Requirement

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
