Ocean Periodontal & Dental Implant Centre is currently in the process of looking for 1 full-time chairside dental assistant.

Wage rate: $31.00 per hour, overtime will start after 40 hours per week

Eligibility:
·      Completion of an eight-month to one-year college or other program in dental assistance or completion of secondary school with on-the-job training.
·      On the job training
·      English language

Job Duties:
Schedule appointments
Keep records of patients’ dental work
Prepare patients for dental exams and help the dentist during the examination
Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
Prepare dental instruments and filling materials
Teach patients about oral hygiene
Invoice patients
Order dental and office supplies
Under a dentist’s supervision, chairside dental assistants with a radiography designation can also expose X-rays. (Uncertified or “chairside” dental assistants perform only “extra-oral” duties outside a patient’s mouth.)
