Sky-Rise Interiors Inc. is seeking a Framer-Carpenter to join our construction team in Okotoks, Alberta. The successful candidate will perform framing and carpentry work for construction, renovation, commercial, and residential projects.

Main Duties at work will be:

1. Prepare estimates of labour and material costs.
2. Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
3. Prepare layouts in accordance with building codes using measuring tools.
4. Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
5. Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
6. Schedule and coordinate work on construction sites.
7. Estimate costs and required materials.
8. Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.
9. Use hand tools and construction equipment as required.

Qualifications

1. Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
2. 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience.
3. Experience with framing and carpentry work.
4. Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches.
5. Ability to use measuring tools and hand tools.
6. Valid driver’s licence.
