Duties:
• Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes, icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders and all types of Indian Sweets e.g., Barfi, Rasgulla, Gulab Jamun, Jalebi, Amtriti, Laddu, Rasmalai, Gajerela etc.
• Ensure that the bake goods meet our quantity standards
• Coordinate with management to determine the type of goods to produce based on special orders, seasons, and demand from customers
• Prepare a weekly list of baking supplies needed for management
• Inspect and clean kitchen and food service areas
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
• Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
• Operate baking and cooking equipment
• Work with minimal supervision

Wages: $ 15.50/hr. based on 40 hours a week

Required skills

• Completion of a baking program OR at least 2 years of commercial baking experience is required. • Ability to work store hours, which includes early mornings, evenings, and weekends. • Ability to communicate in English.
