Veikle Seeds Ltd. is seeking an experienced Farm Supervisor to join our crop farming operation in Cut Knife, Saskatchewan. This is a permanent, full-time, on-site opportunity for a dependable agricultural professional who can lead farm workers and support day-to-day crop production.

Salary: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour (to be negotiated)
Hours: 40 to 60 hours per week

About the Farm

Our operation specializes in:

Grains, oilseed and forage crop production
The position is based on-site in a rural area. Staff accommodation is available.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

Co-ordinate and supervise general farm workers and harvesting labourers
Oversee crop production activities from seeding through harvest
Ensure farm safety and biosecurity procedures are followed
Provide agricultural crop services, including plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying and harvesting
Maintain quality control and production records
Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations
Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
Implement sustainable farming practices, including crop rotation, soil fertility management, reduced tillage and precision agriculture technologies
Perform general farm duties as required
Mix fertilizer
Qualifications

At least 1 year of related farm supervisory or agricultural experience
Ability to co-ordinate and supervise farm workers and harvesting labourers
Experience operating agricultural equipment such as:
Harvesters
Seed drills
Sprayers or dusters
Tractors
Working Conditions
