Whale Brothers Logistics Ltd. is seeking a dynamic Logistics Operations Director to oversee the coordination, planning, and execution of our global logistics operations. This role involves managing inbound and outbound transportation services, optimizing transportation rates, and ensuring the efficient movement of goods. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and experience in logistics and transportation management.

 

EMPLOYMENT LENGTH: PERMANENT 30Hrs Full Time

LANGUAGE OF WORK: ENGLISH

WAGE: $46/Hour

LOCATION: 4860 – 93 Avenue NW, Edmonton, Alberta, T6B 2P8

JOB DUTIES

The duties of the Logistics Operations Director at Whale Brothers Logistics Ltd. will include but are not limited to:

·         Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the transportation and movement of goods, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of logistics solutions for global clients.

·         Oversee the coordination of inbound and outbound transportation services, ensuring optimal scheduling, dispatching, and tracking of shipments for various industries.

·         Formulate and optimize transportation and storage strategies, tailored to the specific needs of customers

·         Negotiate terms and establish service contracts with carriers, warehouse operators, and insurance providers, securing competitive rates and ensuring smooth operational flow.

·         Control the department’s budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining a high standard of service delivery in supply chain management.

·         Lead recruitment efforts for logistics personnel, ensuring proper training and development to meet the growing needs of the business and enhance team performance.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

·         A bachelor’s degree in business administration, transportation administration, or related field is required.

·         3-5 years of managerial experience in logistics, transportation operations, or related sectors.
