Hiring a Cook (Japanese Restaurant, Full-Time)

Nori Japanese Restaurant is looking for a cook.

Job Position: Cook
Position Available: 2
Condition: 40 hours per week, Full-Time, Permanent
Wage: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
Benefit: 4% of vacation fee
Language at Work: English

Main duties:
-Prepare and cook a wide range of Japanese dishes
-Create seasonal, cost-effective menu and specials of the day
-Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
-Plan menu, determine size of food portions and estimate food cost and requirements
-Ensure operation level of profitability and client satisfaction
-Clean and sanitize kitchen and work area
-Perform related work as required

Requirements:
– Minimum 2 years of commercial cooking experience OR Completion of a 2 year apprenticeship program for cooks OR Completion of college or other program in cooking
– Japanese cooking experience is to be preferred
– Completion of Secondary School
– English is required
