Nita Lake Lodge in Whistler, BC is currently looking for a reliable Room Attendant to join our team.

 

Position Summary

The Room Attendant is a key team member of the Housekeeping Department who is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the guest rooms.

 

Job Duties:

·      Ensure the overall cleanliness of guest rooms

·      Strip guest rooms

·      Make beds and change sheets

·      Empty linen from housekeeping cart into the laundry cart

·      Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors

·      Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture

·      Dust furniture

·      Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances

·      Replenish supplies as needed

·      Distribute clean towels and toiletries

·      Pick up debris and empty trash containers

·      Report maintenance problems, lost and found articles and room deficiencies to a supervisor

·      Maintain storage rooms and stocking carts

·      Record the rooms status on work assignment sheets as appropriate

·      Provide information to guests about the hotel and services offered

·      Listen and respond thoughtfully to guest requests or complaints and follow up with a supervisor if required

·      Actively provide exceptional guest services to our guests and following through on guest requests

·      Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment at all times

·      Understand and follow emergency procedures

·      Assist with any other duties as assigned

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:

·      No degree, certificate or diploma is required.

·      No experience is required. On-the-job training is provided.

·      English skills and strong communication skills

·      Criminal record check

·      Ability to work quickly and efficiently with attention to detail

·      Excellent time-management skills

·      Strong organizational skills

·      Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and performing physical labor over a long period of time

 

Employment Details

Positions Available: 1

Employment Term: Full-time, Permanent

Language of Work: English

Wage: $22.00 per hour

Work Hours: 32-40 hours per week

Vacation: 4% vacation accrual

Benefit: Extended health care and dental care (after 6 months of full-time employment)
