This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for an individual with strong agricultural experience, leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced farming environment.

About the Farm

Our operation specializes in:

Corn farming
Dry pea and bean farming
Wheat farming
Other grain, oilseed and forage crop production
The position is based on-site in a rural location.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

Supervise and coordinate the work of farm workers and harvesting crews
Oversee crop production activities from seeding through harvest
Ensure farm safety and biosecurity procedures are followed
Maintain production records and quality control documentation
Operate, maintain and oversee farm machinery and equipment
Assist with plowing, cultivating, spraying, harvesting and other field operations
Implement sustainable farming practices, including crop rotation, soil fertility management, reduced tillage and precision agriculture technologies
Perform general farm duties as required
Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of farm supervisory or related agricultural experience
No formal education required
Ability to supervise teams of varying sizes
Experience operating modern agricultural equipment such as:
Tractors
Harvesters
Seed drills
Sprayers
Storage and silage systems
Valid driver’s licence
